Just so it's clear, you don't have to recompile/rebuild when you add modules. Just a regular build is more than sufficient.

You can also add them all in one go, not one at a time which it sounds kind of like what you're doing

cmake yes, that is always required but it doesn't say (nor would it) that you have to recompile or rebuild.
