Do you have access to the source code of world of warcraft 3.3.5a and required dependecies to compile it? no.
So you can't compile the client, what you can do is MODIFY the client.
Want every class to be able to learn and use lockpick outside of rogue? It's a client modification, aka a patch/mpq file, MPQ are basically blizzard's equivalent to a zipfile with their assets and Database info (**D**ata**B**ase**C**lient).

Don't like the low-quality logo, removed.
People like to have custom backgrounds on login.
That's all modifying the client

Ok interesting. I completely misunderstood that aspect then. Sorry for the confusion. I thought that the DBC files were fragments that couldn't be modified without having the source.
