alright you're right it's saved as wtf, but the system reads it as a txt despite the suffux being .wtf with no .txt anywhere.

No, since you're not showing extensions and .txt is a known extension it has .txt but isn't showing it

When you create the file it doesn't even show the extension if you create a new text document since it defaults to .txt
