The source code they would have, would be assumed to be 3.3.5.a Not having the original developers, only makes the original code harder to read for new comers to it. Functionality wise it should be the same, but then they update the engine itself and do their changes

Classic Wrath *does* have changes from the original, that is definitely true, but they're not as incredibly far-reaching as quite a few people think

A change that e.g vanilla to wrath classic has it's the creature's pathing, you can fence hop to kite in them, you couldn't originally, only in wrath and that was in northerend itself if i recall correctly

As far as I remember it has some talent changes, additional glyphs, several new items and more but not a huge amount of them.

There was also fixes, like the dalaran dismounting place in one of the benchs, certain tunnels / cave being linked to tanaris (were orginally, were not in the re-release of classic)

This Bookie Herod? Because he definitely existed at least in some form on retail back in the day, you can tell because the NPC ID (that 815 number) is so low, most custom NPCs only in the Classic run are in the 100,000+ range
