I'm having trouble getting my server playable for others online. I can sign in when I am using same machine, same network, using local ip, but when I swap it to use the online IP and update my realmlist, it won't work. I can't log into it. Is this because I am trying to log in using the same computer, but through the online ip instead, and it just doesn't like that, or is it something else?

I'd like to confirm things are working before getting anym of the others involved to not spend their time troubleshooting.

Ok, got it. Aparently the IP address that reports out for "What'smyip" is different than the IP i get when doing ipconfig

Well yeah, ipconfig gives you the IP provided by your DHCP server (your router) and not what your ISP gives you

At least for windows, ipconfig will display your local IP, DHCP = Automatically given by the router (in the network).

What's my ip, will give you the public IP, is the same IP you would have in your computer, laptop, tv, phone etc... if they are connected in the same network (the same router). But inside of that network each of those devices have their own local ips (the one shown in ipconfig)
