For solo playing, are there anything that might go wrong if I change my chars race in the database? Let's say I want a Night Elf Warlock and I make a Human Warlock and only change the race to night elf in the database?

typically you want to edit the dbc and db to allow those race/class combos or you can run into issues

I'm not sure what issues would happen exactly, but there are likely issues with racials being forcibly removed from your character on logout/login unless worldserver.conf check is disabled for that, which can lead to unexpected behavior. I have my server modified to allow all race/class combos so i'm not familiar with what all goes wrong if you force it per character

i think arac has been broken in recent days, but i can't say for sure since i dont use it, so be aware in case it doesnt work right
