Quick question; is classic-mode currently the go-to way to emulate the vanilla experience by running the SQL script?
Or is there a better way perhaps?

I did install mod-individual-progression but I find that all the talents and stuff still appear to be non-vanilla

I believe that also has something for penalties to damage and healing done in an attempt to approximate the difficulty.

Actually replacing all the talents and spells would be done in the DBCs, and that might not do as well in that module since it's meant for progressing through all available content. It would also be pretty time consuming to set up, for what's probably considered minimal gain compared to everything else it changes.

You could do it, though, and either make multiple sets of them to switch out or just replace the existing ones and set a hard limit on progression.

IP is largely worked on by just one person, and they may appreciate it if someone wanted to go through the effort of redoing player spells in the DBCs to make copies that better match vanilla and BC.

You could join that discord and ask about it. At worst, one of the server-wide progression modules might be a better fit for them.

I believe Revision has one that does remove the talent tiers above how many would've been used in vanilla, but I don't think it changes the spells themselves.
