Hey guys. So I love WoW, and I want to learn how to program, and figure something that would incentivize me to actually learn stuff would be this. If I set up an AC for myself to play around on with little knowledge is it something I could feasibly learn from?

You can definitely learn from it, but I'm not sure that it's the *best* way to learn programming

Fair. Id imagine there is significantly better ways lol, anytime Ive tried in the past for "fun" its just been....something I quickly lost fun in or cared to do just trying to find ways to incentivize myself

There's nothing wrong with working on something you're passionate about, just realize you'll be working on a complex codebase and it will be very overwhelmed at times. Just don't get dejected if it ends up being too hard to start with.

If it's something you think you'll stick to, go for it, I know AC is definitely how I learned the vast majority of what I know

My biggest concern with it being a codebase to start from is that a lot of code in it might not be...good
