I tried again today, checked the git branch before config within Cmake, after I built the server in VS it seems to have taken me back on to the main branch again.

does anyone know if there is an option within CMake or VS which might be pulling me back onto the Master branch?

It depends entirely on how you're managing the source code. You are obviously switching branch at some point but without knowing what you do it's impossible to know why it's switching branch.

Literally :
1. Open git bash
2. Git clone https://github.com/Tierisch/mod-playerbots.git
3 git switch dungeon_path

Close gitbash

4. Open cmake
Configure x2
Genertate
Open project

5. In VS I right click all build and press clear
Then build.

If that is the general methodology then it must be a toggle or setting I'm missing somewhere
