confirm that gossip menu works first.
1) create an entry in npc_text that just says placeholder
2) create an entry in gossip_menu with a new id and the id of the npc_text you just created above
3) set this gossip_menu entry as the gossip_menu_id field for the creature in creature_template
4) set creature npcflag to 1
5) see if it is showing the gossip. we go from there
