AzerothCore is not TrinityCore, it's best not to assume what works with TC works with AC.

Open cmake, select the azerothcore-wotlk folder in the top field by browsing to it, select the build folder in the second field (I just use azerothcore-wotlk/build) and then press Configure. It's a very simple process.

For me, it looks like this (world2/source is the same as azerothcore-wotlk)
