It was every buff spell, they all had duration listed as 0

Thats why I asked, if the duration is actually attached to the aura rather then the spell

it depends on the spell and how it works. For example, frostbolt is a spell, but one of its effects is to apply an aura that slows the player, which is not a separate spell

but more complex spells might trigger a separate spell to apply an aura if they have too many affects already

I'm looking at all the class buffs, mark of the wild, arcane intellect, the various paladin blessings, etc.
