The .conf files should always be in the same folder as the file they are copies of. In terminal, you cd to the folder, then ``cp file.conf.dist file.conf``

It still seems as though your server timezone is set to UTC. Check the server time while in-game. If it is indeed 7 hours in the future, you'll know where to look.

The server time under the map in the top right is my current time zone PST. I use the server .conf file for tons of things and I know it works. Just the instance reset time doesn’t stick. Doesn’t matter what time of day I change it to, it is always 9pm pst. You would think if it was another time zone it would still change to something else besides 9pm. I can’t figure out what’s causing it

If you're sure that's server time, and not client time.... You might just have incorrect values in your database. I had a bunch of times way off at one time, no idea how it happened. I had to manually correct them (I used HeidiSQL).

I’m not 100% sure but I have people join from the east coast and they see the same PST time as well. So maybe? I use Heidi to tweak some tables as well. Guess I’ll try to find where this instance reset time is and see if I can fix it
