i cannot remember for the life of me but there was a post here somewhere where a guy (or gal) had made something that let you pull mounts from retail and load them into the old versions (ex WOTLK). can someone point me there?

Things like retroporting new models to WOTLK or any other modding can be found on WoW Modding Community discord.
That’s where it’s best to read about that kind of stuff
