I don't have authserver because it's just compiling world, but I don't have log files like you do. Log files only appear when you run the applications.

The path that the make install command shows at the end is the one you should be using anyway. Not sure what went on there but if you delete the build folder and run the steps again to compile it and the files aren't showing up in that build folder again that makes sense.
