If it doesn't know the spells still then it's possibly the mpq file structure to look at next, but unfortunately I need sleep since I have to wake up for work in 5 hours lol.

I'd download ladiks mpq editor and browse the mpq it created. The Spell.dbc should be inside a folder named DBFilesClient and that folder should just be in the root directory of the mpq
