I'm assuming that my base directory is the module folder in relwithdebinfo? Or does base mean a different folder?

By base I mean the base subdirectory in the module's data folder, there's one per database

I've never had dist files not get moved actually, on windows mine all end up in the bin folder (where the worldserver.exe and authserver.exe end up)/configs/modules

The SQL statements in the base folders typically create the missing/required tables and the updates folders are subsequent commits to correct/tweak functionality, so you can probably get it to work with only the base SQL but importing the updates as well will ensure you're up to speed
