still getting lag in the game... like I'll be right beside a mob, but it says 'out of range' and when I wait a bit the mob suddenly zips off. I'm not sure what can cause or what I can do?

I get this too sometimes, its like there is somehow a desync between the world update packets' creature positions and the runtime's creature positions

Dont know whats causing it but a /reload usually rectifies it client side
