do they roll need when they need an item?
i gave heirlooms to some bots, but 2 of them are replacing them with crap items. is something in my config wrong?

They don't roll "when they need", they roll based on the conf settings you give them, I think by default they're barred from needing and only greed loot

Heirlooms are level 1 by default which is what the bots see. They will always replace them.

They will greed on stuff they want yeah, and also on stuff like recipes, gems etc

Yea they only use item_template stats to judge gear, in which hierlooms don't have any entries

Could potentially recode the item value calculator to give gold/hierloom quality gear a huge value but that's something for the playerbots Discord I assume

It wouldn't be hard to add a check to make them not replace their heirloom items unless they are at a certain level (or higher) but it would obviously take some coding.
