Hi all, just want to make sure that i'm not being dumb here. I have a server machine that i'm setting up AzerothCore on, with the intention of somehow hosting it here and then connecting to it from my gaming machine. Is this the intended use, or am I supposed to be setting this up from the machine i intend to play on?

i literally just joined this server, but yes you can host it locally and play locally, or host server on one machine and connect with another.

so then my second question is, under the database setup section in the instructions, what ip am i supposed to replace the 127.0.0.1 default with? I was thinking the IP of my server machine but that doesn't seem to be correct

Always post the error or describe the unexpected behavior you're seeing.

You can set it up on a local server pc and connect with a different local pc, yes.
in the realmlist table of the db, set localAddress to the internal ip of your server pc, and then on your gaming pc, set your realmlist.wtf file to the internal ip of the server as well.
