Also make sure you add the way bench told you.
At log in = at log in is not the same as at log in =
The first will add bitmask (if the character has 4 and you add 8,now has 12) the second will set the bitmask (has 4, and you set it to 8,is how 8).
If you do the way you type if anyone had any active flags they will lose it
