I've had a PC die with MySQL running and it didn't affect anything, so it's not even guaranteed to corrupt the databases. But I can't say why your accounts are gone all of a sudden, it doesn't make sense. Is it actually using the same database?

Did you shutdown the worldserver and auth server before doing clean build? Pretty sure that happens if the worldserver is still running during that

make sure your database (if its running in docker) has persistent data across reboots of the container by mounting a volume
