Google and youtube and in the worse case scenario pin comments (modding community) are your best friends.
All the modules that require changes to the core, dbc of the server or client data / patching is not recommended to newer people. Learn the basics.
And yes. the client by default only can read MPQ data

mpq patches don't be compiled. Mpq patches are on the client. The `worgoblin.patch` file is a C++ patch.
You just clone the `mod-worgoblin` to the modules folder like any other module, then go to the root of your Azerothcore folder (where you can see both modules and src folders), right click -> open in terminal then paste that git apply command from the repo. Done.

And since it's a C++ change, yes it requires a compile. The module also has its own src file with C++ changes too
