Hello, after having bricked my server for the second time and having to completely reinstall it for the second time, I figure I should ask this question. Is there a way to change the DBC entries through a module instead of directly editing the existing information using something like Heidi and potentially losing information by overriding it and then making your server ruined? And, if that's not a possibility, what is the proper way to do a server backup so that in the event that it does get completely bricked, it's easy to revert back to the previous iteration? What needs to be backed up and what's the correct way to do it?

1. DBC isnt changed in the database
2. It would take a lot to actually brick the server
3. Backup with mysql dump

So, i guess let me explain the situation, maybe it's an easy fix. I was trying to implement a change to make every character created teleport to dalaran at creation, and in doing so i found the "playercreateinfo" file in heidi and changed all entries to the coordinates given when you do a .teleport dalaran command. This overwrote what was initially there, as planned, but now I can't figure out how to get the original locations for fresh characters back, and reinstalling my "build" fresh seems the only way.

change the database names in your world / auth configs and boot them up again, they will start as if they are fresh and populate these new databases. then after that change the names back
