When the instructions say "Re-run cmake and launch a clean build of AzerothCore." a clean build of Azerothcore doesn't mean that it will wipe the revisions I have already made does it? Like custom items and NPCs?

best practise is to record all your custom changes as SQL, then put those files in azerothcore/data/sql/custom/ and the worldserver will auto-apply them on startup. that way your work is isolated
