That's alright. Apparently the new spell visuals/graphics were retroported by a Russian guy who obfuscated it. Everyone seems to just copy and paste that version.
My goal is to remove the changes to Shadow Bolt to revert it back to its original

Is there a good place to find addons? I'm trying to find a bag sort addon that is for 3.3.5a, but it looks like curseforge doesn't keep history that far back

Yes they do. They even have versions for vanilla and tbc. The issue is if the addon didn't exist back then or someone didn't upload a version that old there obviously won't be a version for it.
