I used to compile with a i5 quad core, and 8 gbs. It Compiles but take a long time

Yeah but more cores = more RAM usage as far as I can tell. 8GB is enough for 4 cores (or 4 threads) but 12 threads would need more.

so I'm running a test compile to see rough RAM usage. About halfway through it is at this number. Now let me mess around with the settings and compare with less threads.
