Hello everyone. I feel stupid to ask this question but I can't reach my server when I host it on a different computer in the same local network.
I have the same setup both on Fedora Linux. But when I try to connect to the setup on the other computer in the same network I don't get a server connection at all (ping goes through and I can access the database for example).
I've added the local ipv4 address into the realmlist and also added it to the client realmlist.wtf. Is there something else maybe missing?
The auth and worldserver conf are mostly default I only changed the database credentials. So the binding is to 0.0.0.0.

Maybe I've made a common mistake and there is a simple solution for this.
Thanks for your time.

Make sure you work through the "networking" section of the wiki. Most common issues are port forwarding, firewall and filling default values in the DB instead of changing the actual "Data".

I took a look at the wiki page. That's how I found out I need to edit the realmlist table.
Since both computers are on the same local network there is no firewall or port blocking in the way.
I can connect to the mysql database for example but not the wow server.

it's not about port blocking but port forwarding. You need to set it up and some routers don't support it locally at all, even if properly set up.
