I have never used docket before and got told by someone else on arch he used that for the installation

And what about updates from the project is it easy to update and customize, adding modules etc

Docker emulates an OS inside a container. It is supposed to run from just telling docker to get things going.
Customer experience varies.

You can read about updates, basic changes and adding modules in the wiki.

The AC repo usually gas multiple commits per day. You will pull these updates manually whenever you please. Once a week is recommended. More often won't hurt.
