Just double checking: when I like a module and add it into the modules folder, I need to do all steps all over again as if I was installing azerothcore?

Additionally, if a module gets updated, I would have to redo the same process over and over again?

update of modules probably does not need cmake (cmake is needed when a file gets added or deleted)

In that case I am looking to add playerbots. It also mentions that a fork needs to be added.
This goes over my head as I don't understand programing but just look to have some fun.
In short, what do I do with the fork and the custom branch? Do I download the code from github, compile with cmake, then download module playerbot and compile with cmake again?

playerbots is a special case as it isn't a real module
you use the playerbot instead of azerothcore

Is there a possibility to combine modules? For example, Individual Player Progression mod to simulate expansion tier progression together with playerbots in order to have bots following along helping me clearing dungeons and raids?

you can have as many modules as you want (as long as they don't conflict with each other)
