I will always say doublecheck the realmlist.wtf if the ip has a space or somehow changed there.
And sometiems removing it from your config file (the realm) can help

I think that may be the step I am missing, is there a guide on how to do that import on a linux distro? All the guides I see just legit slap the file into modules and then compile and it works lmao but that never works for me

check the readme.md of the module. Some state which files to apply. Importing SQL is a basic skill that should just be googled.
