Seems a bit silly to have a mysql server installed on the system just to have the library files.
I dont use docker, is that the only way to have library files for the compiler?

idk what you mean, mysql must run on server all the time

so there is no way to have the files needed for the compiler without running a mysql server? you cannot download the library files that are required to compile against and point the compiler at them? you must run a mysql server locally in order to compile?
just seems a bit odd to have a config section where you can point the database at a external mysql server but then also require you to have another mysql server locally.
I thought I might be able to download a library or something that would have the files needed for the compiler to do its thing without having multiple mysql servers running
