So I would still need to set the realmlist ID in the db to my external IP address then, even if I am connected to the home network?
Bc as it is now, I just have the realm on both client and server as the realm name pointing to a static IP set on the VM through my router with DHCP reservation.
Using another device connected with Wifi I can access fine. Thats why I figured with openvpn it should work essentially the same as connecting to the wifi right?

realmlist is only for the clientside, you can just use the remote public ip address
