I am using a script to start / stop the servers, perhaps I should look their first, cheers.
Edit: upon looking at the script, it just simply kills the process when i stop it, which is not that great.. but nothing in there has to with the world or auth server files themselves.
As when im shutting down the server, im actually using the server console to do so, not via script.
looking further into the start.sh > acore.sh > main.sh , then options to run auth and world, are simple restarters for both. so its designed like that by default...

It conducts a save of the server files where everyone is etc.
Then closes the server and leaves the other window open. I just ctrl+c on that one to close it then reopen them in order.
