Has it always been on a virtual machine? You might need to ensure the Public IP that is used to connect has been changed in the relevant places in config n stuff.

Is SSH installed? If you're trying to log in as root you can't unless you change the config

my machine is on, i'm seeing the screen on the virtualbox. but dont know why putty isnt able to make the connection..
