well it's had the entry in there for a few reboots and still hasn't updated it to "offline", so I was beginning to think perhaps that's something the worldserver does during shutdown

The realmlist isn't.. I want to say great. If a realm is offline it'll eventually get removed from the realmlist (what the client sees, that is). I don't think it should, it should stay and just be gray colored.

Oh yeah just found the logic behind it. Weird. Can't really imagine why that'd be wanted. If the client address is within the localAddress/localSubnetMask, the client gets given localAddress instead of address.
