the only instance where I think I can find 'azeroth-server' is from the command in step 3 for linux - "cmake ../ -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=$HOME/azeroth-server/ ..."

Nyeriah, I can't believe you didn't notice and say something about this. They copied `/home/unhott/azerothcore/src/server/apps/worldserver/worldserver.conf.dist` to `/home/unhott/azerothcore/src/server/apps/worldserver/worldserver.conf` which is **wrong**. That's the default file provided with the source and also the one that gets copied to azeroth-server/etc. It's no wonder it can't find the config. You have to go into the correct folder (`cd $HOME/azeroth-server/etc`) and use that one

Thanks - should $HOME/azeroth-server/etc exist already? Or is this something I have to make

$HOME refers to your user. As root $HOME translates to /root and as a user (lets say it's named admin) it would be /home/admin.

If you use `cd $HOME/azeroth-server/etc` you should see authserver.conf.dist and worldserver.conf.dist so just rename them or make a copy of them and remove the .dist and you should be set
