Quote: Its been over a year since i made some custom models, but some days ago i though i would try to make another one just for fun. The last model i posted had waaay to many polygons in it so this time i've tried to use as few as possible, hence the "not very detailed" model. Anyway, just give me some pointers what you think of it. Costuctive criticism is very appreciated.

Quote:Hm.. quite an interesting piece there. I would suggest putting more shape into the handle though, since it looks a bit bland. Perhaps add more than one texture to it (ei. makeshift/improvised grip?). Perhaps also change the "spines" around a bit (they aren't exactly aligned I suppose) and maybe even change their color a bit, and add some texture to them to show that they are not made of plastic. You could also lessen the length of the thing swirling around the sword as it gets to the tip, to make it more appealing (also add more texture to it if you wish). Finally, I think that there should be something holding the spines in place in the middle (they look like they could fall off at any moment) so you should maybe add some sort of support in the middle or rearrange the spines so that they all come out from the hilt and extend.
Hopefully you didn't take this criticism the wrong way! This looks promising
