All that matters is that it's pretty awesome.

For starters, saying something is fan art doesn't really subtract from it's artistic value in fact using that simile shows an almost child like train of reasoning on your part.
For either task the workflow isn't very difficult, at least not compared to a real pipeline production so SILENCE!
The same skills are applied, I don't see what the problem is with it not being difficult - again it doesn't subtract from the merit of the final outcome.

I'm not sure when blender became obscure, in fact up till now there's nothing being said that's relevant?
To achieve what end?
The same reason paint, sing or compose perhaps?
To include it into Blizzard's intellectual property for the sense of self-fulfillment and personal use.
"ok"
Every decent model editor left because they got lives or found better places to apply their talents, either that or forum drama! (*Foreshadowiiiiiiiinguh!*)
Ad hominem
I've seen your work and I can tell that you've got a bit of talent, devotion, and an overbearing sense of pride.
Oh this got me excited, I thought it was a build up to you actually saying something noteworthy. Personal attacks aren't constructive to a sound argument.
Why not follow in the footsteps of those "decent" model editors of yours and put those hours to good use if you're not already?
I'm not sure about anyone else in the thread, but surely something I enjoy is putting my time to good use?
Come back when you've got some constructive input, as for everyone else - it is indeed a very good edit but the means to acquire the outcome aren't advanced.
THAT DOES NOT MEAN THE OUTCOME IS BAD

Quote: also... as a note i moved the thread, it is not an advanced model edit.
to those bitching about Model editing is for models only, gneeeeeeeeeh.... its a simple name to encompass the entire community.
to those bitching @ madame for world building instead of "hard" models... get off your high horse, you're still a newbie if you find it remotely hard, at most it's just mildly time consuming but extremely easy.
to those wanting to inflict personal insults... stfu. Learn to read in a calm voice and zomg... madame's post was just simply pointing out it's not an advanced model edit and horry shit there are mild guidelines.
And stop throwing insults at other people, you want me to come to your house and kill your family then parade you around saying "oh poor child, mommy is dead and he is a shit for brains" .. read it twice.. you see how stupid that is? it's what you are doing to yourself, making yourself look rather stupid because you haven't the faintest fkn clue about the real world of production, programs in the industry, or the methods used.
(incase your stupid: I killed your family.. i insult you to the "highest regard, and hurt your feelings" /// then i come back and be a prick to you.)
Stop kicking the donkey, it's not a horse- you all just look like jackasses.
