Quote: Hello everyone,

I need to find out how to pull out exact model from WoW files when there are CASC files now? I need to find 3D model of Khadgar and Gul´dan + textures. And if its possible I need bones and joints of these models for custom animation, what I wanted to make by Autodesk MAYA. Is it possible now? I could do it just with MPQ editor before, but now IDK how.

Is there new software, what can handle CASC?

Quote: I find the new version of WoW Model Viewer. They gave back object extract, but I can extract just .obj and .mtl files, which are object + texture. But there isn´t possible to extract bones and joints for the models. Any those programs, which you posted here, are not able to find joints and bones in CASC files. Just textures and objects too. CASC is a little bit messy with those files.

What's stopping you from I dunno.... spending 2-5 hours in rigging the model up yourself? Rigging/weighting a model for general animations is much easier than rigging for something like a game engine. As you said you want to do animations in Autodesk Maya. You know.. Maya, at one point in time was the most powerful animation software suite on the market, that's why it had that $7,000 USD price tag.

Someone who wants to make animations should also learn how to rig models as well. Otherwise I don't see a point in calling yourself or trying to be an animator when you can't even make your own Animations to begin with and can only use resources that are pre-rigged.
