[Archive] [WIP][Custom Model] Dark Matter Blade

Hey guys whats up
so i been working on and off on this model for a long time but its finaly getting somewhere. The model is 1640 triangles.
At the moment i am really bizy painting the texture .. but takes forever. I think like a good 7-10 hours went into what i painted up till now.
anyways some pictures:

yah i know its quite alot for a WoW model. But at this point i can't really cut back on triangles anymore. because i clean up my models quite alot before laying out the UV's.
main problem is the concept of this blade, because the idea is it exists out of blocks held together by dark matter or whatever. So it needed to have alot of things sticking out and that increases the triangle count quite alot. But next time ill try to push it back to below 1000 triangles atleast.
@zaphry: i do em for myself so that my weapons in wow are all shiny and different xD
