Hey!
I was editing the Lich.m2 model, and when I finished uvmapping on one arm, I couldn't be bothered to repeat the whole process, so I deleted the other arm and duplicated the finished one there (mirrored, of course). It converted to m2 just fine, but I have this problem:

Select bone that is capable of moving hand and to some bone weight paint you new mesh otherwise idk what are you asking ...
just select correct bone
you mirrored it so that mean the mirrorer arm is still rigged to Bones of original model what you used to mirror
