I have followed the various threads explaining how to play across a network but am having an issue. I can log into the server fine and when it goes to the character select, the pick your realm screen comes up, because I have no characters yet obviously, I select my realm "EmuCoach VIP 13" and then nothing. It just deselects the choice, the only one BTW, and I can select the realm again but it just does the same thing. What did I miss in the setup? Was there a port I should have included in the realmslist? Something I should have changed in the world.conf? I'm just confused at this point.

Thanks

You mention 'realmlist' but I don't know whether you mean the 'realmlist.wtf' file in the client or the 'realmlist' database table. Just to double check, have you changed the 'address' value in worldserver's 'realmlist' table entry in the 'auth' database? It's usually '127.0.0.1' by default which for playing across a LAN ought to be set to the '192.168...' IP address of the computer running the worldserver. I don't think ports should need changing (or specifying) unless you've changed them yourself elsewhere (which presumably you haven't).

No I haven't changed that. I will do that when I get home tonight. Thank you.

Yes, I did change that when I installed. Address: 192.*.*.* / localaddress: 127.0.0.1. Could it be something in the auth or worldserver config files?

Turned off the firewall just in case but that changed nothing.
