So I'm pulling parts of Stormwind apart to try some stuff out. In the images, I have the Keep/Castle that goes to the Prison that's usually locked off. There's a water layer in here that Blender is NOT showing me. If I export the WMO as is, the layer is part of the WMO and shows up in Noggit. If I try to delete the liquids collection, whether i do it through "delete, delete collection or delete Hierarchy", I can't export the WMO.

What I tried next in a new Blender project was, import the entire Prison WMO. I then imported the Prison Keep I cut away from Stormwind like you see in the image above. When I imported the WMO, the layer of water then showed up. So what I tried next is, to delete the HIerarchy and the water layers then were removed, I thought I would be good to go. I then loaded the full modded WMO into Noggit, and the water is STILL there.

How in the world can I get rid of this water in both my builds?

Why can't I see the water in my original WMO file of just the Prison Keep, yet as soon as I import it to a file where another WMO is present, the water shows up?

What is WoWMate? Is that a game script or DBC connected piece of information?

Also, can someone give me an explination to how portals work in the WMOs and what's necessary to keep and what I can toss etc?

Stormwind and other cities have a ton of portals hardcoded into the client, but some of the offsets are known. I'm not familiar with it

That's what I was thinking. I'm not sure if you've ever tested this before, but I think I'm simply going to remove all the portals from what's I can see and have access to in Blender and throw these "test" buildings on a map and see what comes of it

Any idea how to remove that water layer? I have devised a way to work with it if it somehow isn't removable for a test idea I'd like to try out, but would be ideal if it can be removed.

I appreciate the input as usual Stoneharry! As you know, the more you pick away and figure things out, the more challanges you face, but I like the challanges

I'm not really familiar with WMOs, I'd recommend the WBS or WoW modding discords

Sometimes you just get unlucky in the post timings, where you message gets buried by other posts before the right people see it.
