Novuscore is an open source mmo engine. The goal of Novuscore is to provide a state of the art engine that focuses on reliability, redundancy, and performance over convenience.
Novuscore is written in C++ utilizing Data Oriented Design and ECS to accomplish blazing fast performance. For rendering we use Vulkan as our base rendering backend, and for gameplay we have a custom scripting language called NAI to handle high performant and parallel gameplay code.
Currently Novuscore is writing a demo project to showcase the capabilities of the engine. For this demo project we have chosen World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. The goal with the demo project is to mature the engine and get a better understanding of the requirements for one of the biggest MMOs to date.
