In Kiera, under Creature Template, these are the main things you'll want:
* Faction (The best thing to do here is look up another NPC of the same faction/area)
* NPC Flag: I typically use 51 for Class Trainers (Gossip, Questgiver, Trainer, Trainer Class)
* Type: 7- Humanoid
* Unit Class: 1 - Warrior
* Unit Flags: 512 (or 768) Immune to NPC (or Immune to NPC + PC)
* Unit Flage 2: 2048 (Regenerate Power)
* Regen Health: 1 - Enabled
* Flags Extra: 2 (Civilian)
* Trainer Type: 0 - Class
* Trainer Class: The class you want them to train

Then you have Template Spell. For this, you'll want to look up another similar Trainer. Most Class Trainers will have two skills here, both will be a negative number. These are two groups of skills: One group contains abilities up to level 6 (for the tutorial area), and the other will have the remaining skills. So, for example, Jen'shan, the Hunter Trainer in Valley of Trials only has skill -200013, whereas Thotar, the Hunter Trainer in Razor Hill has both -200013 and -200014. Sadly, you cannot search for these, as they do not have a name due to being a collection of skills.

Optionally, under Creature Template, you'll want to set up a Gossip Menu ID, but that's a bit more cumbersome. That said, from what I can tell, Azerothcore sets up Trainers to automatically display the Trainer Gossip Menus once your character reaches level 10. This contains the ability to refund passives as well as dual spec.

If you are using Azerothcore, once you are in-game in a GM character, just move to where you want the new NPC to be and type in ".npc add XXXX", where XXXX is the Entry ID of that creature. eg: .npc add 100053. If you need to adjust their position, select them and then type ".npc move" (I highly recommend making this a macro button).
