5) Players buff up with food, so why not pets? If I were to create a variety of Pet Food Recipes with a food type assigned to them, where would I look to add something like a Well Fed bonus to the Pet? or would this be easier as an item with an on use spell effect attached to it?

6) What would be the best (easiest) way to convey additional information about a beast that is otherwise not conveyable through the normal use of Beast Lore? For example, would it possible to start a quest or display a gossip menu from casting Beast Lore on a specific target?

As you can tell, the Hunter/Pet experience is a main focal point of what I'm working on. I've updated Levels 1-10 and I'm about to get into the 11-20 content, which will touch on almost all of the above. Death Flayer will be my first Unique Pet (since I'm focusing primarily on Durotar at the moment), with its own unique Talent Tree, and it will also be my first scripted encounter, as well as having some special hoops to jump through before you can tame it.

4) It's been a while since I've done something like this, but I believe you can do something like give the Hunter a spell which hits the hunter's pet with a dummy effect and then script that effect to do what you want the pet to do, I.E. cast a spell. Check out Intimidation to see how this is done already.

5) You should be able to have the pet as a target for a well fed buff. In spell.dbc there is an option for active pet for target selection. Knowing this, you can implement however you like.

<@246421954062581760> Awesome! I'll start looking into this; I didn't even think to look at Intimidation (sometimes you need someone else to point out the obvious ). I've got ~5 "Pet Abilities" that I'm wanting to add to the Hunter's skill bar that brings more utility to the Pet without being a part of the Pet's kit, so to speak.

<@824150478006779914> Excellent! I've added a Survivalcraft profession to the Hunter and one of the things I want to add is a variety of pet food recipes, and the Sporeling Snack is the perfect example for what I need as a base.

I thought I was on to something with the Category Enum ID, since Talents has 2 Category Masks that are only used for Pet Talents, but the numbers don't line up; plus there are 6 pet families greater than 31. So not only did I not figure out what Category Enum ID is for, I now need to figure out what these Category Masks point to in Talent.dbc.
