if a blp isnt compatible for whatever reason, you can try to convert it back to png. Then use blp converter to convert it back to blp with the correct output that u need.

I tried making a chest item with textures from a retail expansion. Tried using the original .blp and also tried exporting pngs and turning them into .blp with a converter. In both cases the texture doesn't show up at all on the character.

The code seems to be correct. I guess the issue might be in the .blp format not fitting 3.3.5 client?
