Pretty weird. but there is a flag in attributes called "cannot target self". maybe try enabling that? Also, maybe it some addon forcing it your to target yourself since you just copied it?

I've tried it in a fresh 3.3.5a client. Still nothing. I assume the target of the spell is stored in the `spell.dbc`, correct?

I just duplicated the other spell, provided a new ID as that is mandatory of course and that was it. I've made no other changes at all.
