If you have the ID of the spell I believe youll get rid of this message by removing the ID from the character in the database.

So if it's azerothcore you could use this:
DELETE from character_spell where guid = 6 and spell = 6;
Where GUID is the character's GUID and spell 6 would be removed

I appreciate the response, but I am not so sure its a spell issue. It seems that mages are not learning the frost skill itself. Like how they learn fire and arcane in the skills pane. Typically this pane/windows is hte same one with weapon skill and profession levels.
